‘Tis the season and for Tioga Downs Casino & Resort, on Friday, November 24 it will be the fourth consecutive year for what appears to have become an annual tradition, Winterfest.
This year’s festivities at the Nichols, New York casino kick off at 5pm the day after Thanksgiving and continue through December 23. Guests will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Winterfest on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm to 8:30pm throughout the 30-day period.
New to Winterfest this year is a ride-through light show where guests can take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the festive holiday lights displayed around the 5/8 mile racetrack.
This year’s Winterfest will also feature:

WBNG News reports that local officials say Winterfest is a good way to welcome the holidays in the Southern Tier.
Marketing Services Manager for Tioga Downs Casino, Jim Weed, said, “I think the big thing with this is families will come here because it’s free. That’s key I think.”
Admission is Free to Winterfest and there are plenty of fun holiday activities for the entire family to enjoy.
