The Riverside County Sheriff is asking that the Soboba tribe’s casino be shut down after prolonged issues with the tribe on their reservation that borders the casino. Five tribe members have been shot by local deputies, which the tribe protests have no right to patrol on soverign tribal lands without a warrant and everyone must stop and state their business at the gates. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the National Indian Gaming Commission to suspend their operating license. Despite signing an agreement to ease tensions a few weeks ago there are still some problems.
