The Carribean Casino and Gaming Corporation has announced the Grand Opening of the Dominican Republic‘s second Casino.  The Sosua Bay Grand Casino is scheduled to open August 1, 2009.  Amenities included in the new casino are a gym, spa and squash courts on the top floor, 12,000 square foot convention center,  a three level nightclub, and a secure parking structure underneath the casino.  The Sosua Bay Grand also promises entertainment by international superstars.  The Casino is in close proximity to the luxurious 250 room hotel.

The new casino has a pirate ship theme.  As you enter, you see the ship and must cross the mote to get into the casino.  The pirate ship theme continues throughout.  The majority of the slot machines will be in the front.  There will be a sports betting area, a keno room, and an area for table games, with seperate rooms for Texas Hold’em and high-roller blackjack.

The resort offers amenities such as a heated Jacuzzi pool, two swimming pools, a children’s pool, 8 bars and restaurants, and evenings of shows and entertainment.  The Deluxe suites also have Jacuzzis on the terrace for private relaxation.
