In South Korea, the firm behind the under-construction Jeju Dream Tower integrated casino resort has reportedly announced that it is now hoping to have completed all work on the coming $606.6 million development by the end of 2019.
Extended deadline:
According to a report from GGRAsia, the revelation from Lotte Tour Development Company Limited comes after August saw the Seoul-headquartered firm explain that it intended to begin welcoming guests to the facility on the island of Jeju in October of this year.
Core responsibility:
However, Lawrence Teo, Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Lotte Tour Development Company Limited, reportedly told GGRAsia that this earlier deadline has now been extended by a further three months and that his firm is to be responsible for 59% of the finished property’s facilities.
Grand Hyatt branding:
Due to be the tallest building on the island of Jeju when finished, Jeju Dream Tower is being modeled on similar integrated casino resorts in Macau while Lotte detailed in August of 2017 that it had selected American hotel operator Hyatt Hotels Corporation to run every one of the coming 38-story facility’s 750 rooms under the Grand Hyatt brand.
Casino complement:
Being developed in partnership with Chinese real estate firm Greenland Group, Jeju Dream Tower is to sit on a 75-acre parcel of land located less than two miles from the International Airport and will moreover feature eleven bars and restaurants, retail facilities and an observation deck alongside a 98,166 sq ft foreigner-only casino offering approximately 420 slots alongside some 190 gaming tables.
