Leading software and services supplier, Playtech, has launched an expanded Playtech Bingo platform in Italy, and is now available through the William Hill, Sisal and Snai brands.

According to the official press release

PBAD3 protocol has been introduced by Italian regulators. The updated protocol allows operators to offer online Bingo variants. The February 26 launch made Playtech the industry’s first to take full advantage of the PBAD3 protocol which enables an expanded bingo portfolio.

Market-specific:

The London-headquartered technology company is now able to deliver the new variants, which can be accessed by players in the Italian market specifically, while at the same time delivering its innovative international offering to the European country.

Missing piece:

Prior to the update, operators were prevented by protocol from offering gaming products equal in flexibility and range to those found in other markets. This new opportunity presented to licensees was the final missing piece of the country’s regulatory framework.

Included in the updated offering is the two-line prize alongside 75 ball UK Bingo and other new PBAD3-compliant variants.

Expanded access:

Additional features will also be able to be launched by Playtech on a variety of platforms, including Android native apps, iOS, tablet, mobile and HTML5 desktop clients.

Playtech Managing Director of Digital Bingo, Angus Nisbet, said…

“Becoming the first platform in Italy to make the most of the updated protocol is a significant moment in developing our offering in one of our key markets. The speed with which we have been able to expand our platform and products in Italy reflects our commitment to growing and building our offering in new and existing regulated markets.”

Other extensions:

The 1999-founded London Stock Exchange-listed firm’s subsidiary, Playtech BGT Sports, recently extended its sportsbook partnership with Spanish gaming company, Codere SA. Effective until late 2022, the contract extension covers the Nicosia-based firm’s online facilities and retail presence in Panama, Colombia, Spain and Mexico and includes over 9,000 retail tills and betting terminals.

The renewed contract came on the heels of Playtech’s new long-term agreement with GVC Holdings PLC, which gives all GVC brands access to the leading omni-channel gaming company’s services and products until 2025.
