The WSOP is coming back to GGPoker. Starting on December 12, the WSOP Winter Online Circuit will begin, running through January 9. The series will include several events with $100,000,000 up for grabs. Players can compete for one of 18 gold rings, each being a headline tournament. On top of the ring events, players can compete in hundreds of satellites and side events.
Full Schedule of Events
There will be several events for players to compete in, with varying buy-ins. Players of all bankrolls will be able to take part, as buy-ins are affordable, some even falling under the $100 range. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights found on the schedule.
One of the lower buy-in events is the Big 50 Million$. This event has a buy-in of just $50 and includes a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The tournament is expected to see a big turnout due to the low buy-in and large prize pool. If enough players take part, the prize pool could be boosted even further.
For a $100 buy-in, online poker players can compete in the MILLION$ Mini Main Event. This event will see the final day running on January 2 with $2 million in total prize money up for grabs. With so many affordable events on offer, it will not be surprising to see tournaments reach their guarantees or even more in prize money.
For the deeper pocket players, there are events to consider as well. The Main Event has a buy-in of $525 and includes a huge $5 million prize pool. Also, on the table are Colossus and Plossus events. Both have a buy-in of $400 and include nice prize pools. Colossus includes $2.5 million while Plossus has $1 million.
Satellites are Already Running
In anticipation of the series and of course, to give players plenty of time to earn a seat to events, satellites are already up and running at GGPoker. Some of the satellites already on offer include options for the BIG 50 MILLION$, starting as low as $0.50.
Daniel Negreanu, poker pro and GGPoker Global Ambassador commented on the series by stating: “WSOP circuit events are great; they give every player the chance to win a big prize and gold ring while enjoying a taste of the WSOP experience. This time around, there’s also the not-insignificant matter of $100,000,000 in prizes to enjoy as well; it might be getting cold outside, but the action is just heating up at GGPoker!”
Players of GGPoker will receive leaderboard points for competing in a ring event or during a side tournament. The top 100 points earners will earn a prize from the $100,000 pool once the series concludes.
