Online casino operator Alea Gaming Limited has announced that it has ‘significantly strengthened’ its presence in the British market with the acquisition of the mobile-friendly LadyLucks brand from International Game Technology (IGT).

Malta-based Alea Gaming Limited already operates the three-dimensional virtual reality online casino at SlotsMillion.com and last month secured a license from the Gambling Commission to begin offering its complete range of services to players in the United Kingdom.

Also licensed by officials in Curacao and Malta, Alea Gaming Limited stated that it has already taken charge of the LadyLucks brand and undertaken ‘major changes’ including migrating the service onto its own platform and boosting, from two to seven, the number of game providers.

Established as the world’s first mobile-only online casino in 2004, the LadyLucks brand now boasts over 80 games from some of the world’s top developers including the likes of Microgaming, IGT and NetEnt AB.  The Alea Gaming Limited takeover means that these are now available to desktop players via LadyLucks.co.uk.

As part of the acquisition, Alea Gaming Limited declared that it has moreover hired Sarah Quinan to serve as the new manager for its LadyLucks brand with the experienced industry professional now set to help oversee the transition while driving the development of its VIP program and customer support services.

“We see huge potential for the LadyLucks brand to become a power player in the United Kingdom and with the help of Sarah Quinan it will become a force to be reckoned with,” read a statement from Alexandre Tomic, Chief Executive Officer for Alea Gaming Limited.
