Although an exact launch date has not been announced yet, there’s a new bitcoin-friendly online casino coming soon that will be known as Wild Tornado Casino. We got a look “under the hood” so to speak so we will be able to tell you about this SOFTSWISS powered casino before you’re able to actually access the website yourself.
The first thing we noticed was that Wild Tornado Casino is licensed in Curacao under the trading name, Direx N.V. (license 8048/JAZ2014-012). In effect, that tells us that Wild Tornado is a white label casino operating under a SOFTSWISS license. That information alone allows certain conclusions to be jumped to and then confirmed before passing the information on to readers.
While it wasn’t always the case, white label casinos are a good thing for players today as long as the company behind the casinos is a solid operation. In essence, Wild Tornado has the entire structure of SOFTSWISS behind it. It is technically owned by a SOFTSWISS holding company, Direx N.V. The holding company manages licensing, SOFTSWISS provides game integration, in and out player transactions, and most customer services. Once launched to the public, the same backbone that supports a dozen other casinos will hold up this new casino.
Because Wild Tornado will run on the SOFTSWISS platform, Bitcoin transactions will be first-nature and players who choose SOFTSWISS games from the deep portfolio should have access to “provably fair” algorithms that prove the results of every spin, roll, shuffle and deal are precisely as those shown in the player’s bankroll and on their screens.
This feature will not work with games from other providers. But SOFTSWISS is certified by iTech Labs. Players will also recognize the integrity of other game suppliers such as Betsoft, Endorphina, and Pragmatic Play. Here’s where the Direx N.V. holding company comes into play again. Since Direx N.V. does not currently hold a licence from the Gambling Commission, players physically located within the UK will not be able to access Wild Tornado.
SOFTSWISS takes their operational responsibilities even further in that regard. While players in Sweden, Germany or even France will log into their casino accounts and see games from NYX Interactive, NetEnt, and Belatra – those games simply won’t appear to Canadian players. It’s still unclear why Belatra is not available in Canada, but NYX and NetEnt pulled out of the market at about the same time they signed on with the government there to provide games for their monopoly online lottery services – something that would not “fly” if Canada were a member of the EU. However, Wild Tornado currently has over 280 slots, card, dice, and roulette, and other games for players everywhere. The website is currently available in English, German, French, and Swedish.
So, if SOFTSWISS and Direx N.V. handle all of the basics, make sure the casino is available 24/7/365, ensure regulatory compliance, game integrity, and most customer service and technical services, what will Wild Tornado Casino do? What will set them apart from any other SOFTSWISS “white label”?
The answer to that question is what makes the business model so valuable to players. Each casino on the network, including Wild Tornado, is completely separate from the next. They have their own internal management and marketing. Executives monitor customer services and other aspects and can intervene to make sure the odd 1:1000 customer that has a critical inquiry or complaint is handled with the personal attention they deserve. VIP and other loyal players can be offered individual or tiered incentives, custom tournaments can be crafted based on players’ wants and needs, and bonuses are 100% under the control of Wild Tornado management. In a nutshell, all SOFTSWISS white labels compete against each other for your business.
We can’t reveal what offers will eventually make it to the promotions tab upon launch, but the Beta looks interesting. The VIP program, as currently crafted, allows players to join a “guild”. Each guild, Tornado Guild, Tsunami, Lightning, and Storm Guild offers certain types of bonuses which some players may prefer over others. One offers cash back, others award match bonuses, accelerated comp points, or free spins, etc. Players are asked to choose a guild when they sign up so that the casino can provide the type of incentives they enjoy the most.
The sign-up bonus looks like at least 100% match up to 900 euro plus 150 free spins. It could end up to be more than 100%, that is still unclear. The current data looks to be a 3-part sign-up bonus of 100/125/100% plus 50 free spins on each deposit. We’re also seeing “Weekly Offers” for every day of the week which haven’t been finalized but seem to include twice-weekly email offers, happy hours, and tournament invitations.
The tournament scheme cooked up by Wild Tornado marketers look interesting. It will be called Slot Combat (current working name) and looks to be planned for Fridays. In “Slot Combat” players will compete against each other for the highest points to win their share of a 500 euro prize pool. Again, these numbers are beta as far as we know so they could go up or down. Some of the prizes we see are not simply cash – one grand prize includes tickets to an Adele concert. It appears as if a small entry fee will be required for most tournaments with freerolls available to loyal players.
That’s what we know so far aside from what we’ve been told. To paraphrase a few points: Wild Tornado Casino promises a unique VIP program and expects players who try the casino to stick around and become long-term fans. It appears that they are doing everything right to make sure that is the case.
