One of the top poker events in all of Europe will kick off today and run until the 29th of November. The Unibet Open Antwerp will offer a quality poker tournament series in Antwerp for the very first time, with the winner taking home a hefty cash prize as well as a Unibet Open Trophy that is a diamond encrusted one-of-a-kind piece.
To continue to tradition of the Unibet Open, the event will offer much more than just the game of poker. DJ Dimaro of Belgium and Double Pleasure will be featured at the Player Party on Saturday at the Roxy. Party buses will be equipped with all things poker, including cards, poker chips and a DJ, to get players to and from the tournament room for gaming.
The Main Event will have a buy-in of €1,000 + €100 and will begin today at 12:00 pm. Registration will be available on-site beginning at 10:00 am. The event is a cashless one, so players who are participating will need to have a debit or credit card to pay the entry. Players must be 21 to compete and additional gaming will take place on-site including SNG tournaments with a buy-in of €100 + €10.
Participating in the Antwerp event include several pros such as Pierre Neuville, a finalist of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Kevin Vandersmissen, a former winner of the Irish Open, will also be attending the event. Both players are from Belgium and top poker players in the industry. Tony Cascarino, a former football player, Dan Glimne, a Unibet Ambassador, Marcel Luske and Ruben Visser will also be participating in the tournament.
Unibet will be streaming the event daily from the beginning to end. Commentary will be included and interaction with fans of the game on social media to make things interesting.
