After two hugely successful events this year, the Asian Poker Tour has announced that the first leg of next year’s tour will be held from January 27 to February 1, 2009 at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati, Philippines. Buy-in has been set at $2,700 USD for anyone interested in entering. 316 poker players participated in the APT Philippines this past May and the group is expecting there to be even more players in the next year’s Manila leg. The APT has promised at least four major events for 2009.
