Every summer, poker players look forward to the World Series of Poker, as this is the biggest poker series to take place during this time frame. However, there is also a second popular poker series available, found not at the Rio, but at the ARIA Resort & Casino. Starting on May 26th to July 8th, players will be able to visit the ARIA and take part in the ARIA Poker Classic, a summer series that enjoys just as much fanfare as the WSOP each and every year.
The ARIA Poker Classic is popular among the poker community due to the smaller buy-ins when compared to the WSOP. Players will find a nice selection of tournaments on the schedule, including several poker variants such as Limit Omaha 8/B, Eight Game Mix, Pot Limit Omaha, PLO8 and many more.
Players can access $400 No Limit Hold’em on most days of the series during the early morning hours while the evening signals the start of $240 No Limit Hold’em action. The first four days of the series will include these two events, with the $400 tournament starting at 11 a.m. and the $240 tournament at 7 p.m.
Starting in June, the ARIA Poker Classic will feature three $1,100 No Limit Hold’em events, each lasting for two days. The events will take place on June 6th, June 20th and July 6th. Also included in the mix is the WPT500, a $565 buy-in event featuring nine starting flights. The WPT500 will offer starting flights from June 25th until July 1st. Also, on the schedule are two Seniors events and a Ladies tournament.
According to Poker News, all of the tournaments on the schedule are one day events except for the three $1,100 No Limit Hold’em tournaments and the WPT500.
