According to official figures (pdf) from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, one of the biggest winners for 2017 was the Tropicana Casino and Resort Atlantic City, which is run by Tropicana Entertainment Incorporated, as the property saw annual gross gaming revenues from its casino swell by 14.5% to $348.33 million despite the December tally rising by only 0.3% to slightly over $26.76 million.

The nearby Resorts Casino Hotel additionally had a successful 2017 with its land-based gross gaming revenues improving by 10% year-on-year to almost $190.51 million although the venue operated by the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority recorded a comparative 2.4% decline for December to $13.89 million.

Likewise, last year saw Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City post a 1.6% lift year-on-year in land-based gross gaming revenues to nearly $363.71 million with December’s takings rising by 0.4% to $29.24 million.

Finally, Bally’s Atlantic City recorded annual land-based gross gaming revenues for 2017 of $211.02 million, which was a drop of 0.1% year-on-year, while its December figure ascended by 5.2% to $16.28 million.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement moreover revealed that online gaming win for December had amounted to $20.8 million, which reflected a swell of 12.9% year-on-year, while the industry had paid some $19.7 million in total tax and obligations for the month.
