Australian Gambling – The Manikato Stakes features Australia’s best sprinters at Moonee Valley this Friday night.

The 1200 metre sprint worth $1 million was only recently moved to the Friday night meeting and it has come with great success.

Last year’s winner, Buffering, will be looking to improve his already impressive Moonee Valley record whilst joint-favourite, Lankan Rupee, will be looking to redeem himself after two disappointing runs this season.

Trainer Joe Pride believes its only a matter of time before Terravista gets his Group One and bookmakers believe that could come this Friday at Moonee Valley.

“He is the best horse I have trained. Rather, I should say he is potentially the best horse I have trained because he has got to get that group one,” said Pride.

“I think that is only a matter of time, and that’s why we are heading down to Melbourne to let him prove how good he is. He is the right horse at the right time.

“I know Lankan Rupee and Buffering have won all of those group one’s but they have never met him and I couldn’t be happier with him. I have so much confidence in him. He will head down on Wednesday with Diamond Oasis,” he added.
