iGaming Business – German land-based gaming machine manufacturer and operator Gauselmann Group has moved to strengthen its position in the UK market by acquiring software company Betcom Limited.

Although the terms of the agreement were undisclosed, Gauselmann said that the deal marks an “important step” in its UK expansion strategy.

Betcom, which is based near Birmingham, has marketed a number of games for reel-based and multi-game machines in recent years.

The deal will also provide additional support to Blueprint Gaming, another of Gauselmann’s UK subsidiaries.

“Betcom Limited opens up new perspectives for market development in Great Britain and beyond,” Gauselmann board member Jürgen Stühmeyer said.

“Thus, a global network of 16 development teams is continually working on new content for gaming fun ‘made by Gauselmann’.
