BetMGM has entered a landmark agreement with the Las Vegas Aces, becoming the exclusive online sportsbook and iGaming partner of the reigning WNBA champions. This marks BetMGM’s first major collaboration with a women’s professional sports team, signaling a notable shift in the company’s strategic focus toward women’s athletics. The partnership is set to extend through the 2027 season and includes marketing integration both on and off the court.

The deal ensures BetMGM a significant presence at the Aces’ home venue, Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, including prominent signage. Additionally, BetMGM branding will be featured across the Aces’ social media channels, reinforcing the brand’s visibility among the growing WNBA fan base. The collaboration also offers BetMGM users exclusive experiences, such as courtside access to pre-game shootarounds and premium seating during games.

“This collaboration marks a new era for BetMGM,” stated CEO Adam Greenblatt in a press release. “As we enter this era of tremendous growth in women’s sports, BetMGM could not have two better organizations to partner with than the WNBA and the Aces. Not only do the Aces play in our backyard at Mandalay Bay, but they share our commitment to giving back to the community.”

Expanding Engagement Through WNBA Integration

In addition to the team-level partnership, BetMGM has also secured a broader agreement with the WNBA, becoming an authorized gaming partner through 2027. This expanded relationship provides BetMGM with commercial inventory during nationally televised games and allows for co-branded content creation to be featured on digital platforms such as wnba.com/WNBABet.

One of the most innovative aspects of the partnership is the development of the league’s first-ever online casino game. A WNBA-branded slot title will be introduced to players in regions where BetMGM’s iGaming services are operational. This exclusive game further highlights the company’s commitment to elevating the visibility of women’s basketball in the digital gaming space.

“On the heels of an incredible 2024 season when WNBA delivered significant growth in all areas of fan engagement, and with so much excitement surrounding the 2025 season, we want to continue to lean into betting and finding new and innovative ways to engage with our fans,” said WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison. “BetMGM is doing just that by offering new and expansive betting markets for WNBA fans.”

A Shared Commitment to Community Impact

The announcement of this groundbreaking partnership was commemorated with an event at the iconic Fountains of Bellagio, attended by executives from BetMGM, the Aces, MGM Resorts International, and The Just One Project—a Nevada-based nonprofit tackling food insecurity. During the event, the launch of the “BetMGM Steals for Meals” program was announced, tying on-court performance directly to charitable contributions.

For every steal made by the Aces at home games, BetMGM will donate $50 to The Just One Project to support local families in need. This initiative is a central part of the partnership’s community engagement strategy and aligns with both organizations’ missions to make a lasting difference off the court.

Nikki Fargas, President of the Las Vegas Aces, emphasized the significance of this initiative: “The Las Vegas Aces are proud to partner with BetMGM for many reasons, but especially for the support they will provide to The Just One Project… knowing that each steal will help families in need, this gives our team even more incentive to lock down our opponents on the defensive end.”

Enhancing the Fan Experience and Promoting Responsible Gaming

BetMGM’s move into women’s sports comes at a time of growing interest in the WNBA. In 2024, the company saw a 133% increase in WNBA betting activity year-over-year, driven by a surge in fan interest and betting market expansion. The company is now offering broader wagering options, including player props, playoff markets, and odds on events like the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup.

As BetMGM continues to innovate in the betting landscape, it remains dedicated to promoting responsible gambling. The company has integrated GameSense—an industry-leading program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation—into its digital platforms to help users make informed decisions. This is complemented by BetMGM’s existing suite of responsible gaming tools aimed at creating a safe and enjoyable user experience.

A Strong Foundation for the Future of Women’s Sports

This historic collaboration is more than just a business deal—it represents a meaningful investment in the future of women’s sports. BetMGM’s alignment with both the Las Vegas Aces and the WNBA showcases the growing recognition of women athletes and the commercial potential of their leagues.

Lance Evans, Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsorships at MGM Resorts International, underscored the significance of the partnership: “Since 2018, the Las Vegas Aces have played a pivotal role in our city’s growth as a global sports and entertainment destination… Together with BetMGM, we look forward to hosting gameday events at Mandalay Bay, as well as our other properties, allowing local and visiting fans to interact with their favorite basketball teams.”
