Online casino and sportsbook operator, Betway Limited, has announced the signing of a three-year deal that has seen it become the official betting partner for German top-flight football club, Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Operator of Betway.com:

According to an official press release published by boutique gaming event organizer, European Gaming Media and Events, United Kingdom and Malta-licensed Betway Limited is principally responsible for the domain at Betway.com and explained that its agreement with the Dusseldorf-based team is set to run until the conclusion of the 2020/21 season.

Newly-promoted side:

Playing its home games at the 54,600-seat Merkur Spiel-Arena, Fortuna Dusseldorf was promoted from the second tier of German football last season and will now hope to revisit its successes of the early 1970s when the North Rhine-Westphalia side twice finished as runner-up behind perennial domestic champion Bayern Munich

Plethora of partnerships:

Betway Limited detailed that it has served as the principal sponsor of English Premier League side West Ham United since 2005 while also having a similar partnership in place with Bundesliga constant Werder Bremen. It has comparable deals with Belgian top-flight outfit Anderlecht, Serie A giant AS Roma and a trio of La Liga clubs in Levante UD, CD Leganes and Deportivo Alaves.

Arrangement follows earlier deals:

Antony Werkman, Chief Executive Officer for Betway Limited, declared that the arrangement with Fortuna Dusseldorf has ‘strengthened our hand in the German market’ and follows the signing earlier in the summer of the agreements with the three Spanish clubs and Italy’s AS Roma.

Werkman’s statement read…

“It’s an exciting time for the club, having just been promoted to the Bundesliga, and we’re really pleased to have come on board as it looks to build on last season’s success.”
