After supporting the ESL One Cologne eSports event earlier in the year, online sportsbook operator Betway Limited has announced that it has now signed a deal to serve as a major sponsor of the ESL Pro League 2017.

The world’s longest-running professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, the sixth edition of the ESL Pro League began on Tuesday and features 28 teams from Europe and the Americas battling it out three times a week online for a $1 million prize pool. The action is subsequently set to culminate with a live final due to be held in Odense, Denmark, from December 8 to 10.

Just as it did for the ESL One Cologne, Betway Limited declared that its latest sponsorship deal will see live odds compiled by its team of expert eSports traders added to broadcasts of the tournament.

“We are very excited for the next few months as some of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players will be battling it out for its biggest prize, the ESL Pro League, as well as the seven-figure prize pool,” read a statement from Anthony Werkman, Marketing and Operations Director for United Kingdom and Malta-licensed Betway Limited. “Our experience sponsoring ESL One Cologne was a huge success and the feedback we received from our first-of-its-kind live odds feeds into the broadcast has inspired us to increase our involvement across tournaments and teams in the coming months and years.”
