The fourth annual Betting and iGaming Africa Summit will be held at the Century City Conference Centre & Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa beginning Monday, October 24 with three days of exhibitions, conferences, and master classes.
BiG Africa Summit, organized by Eventus International is billed as the “Gateway to Africa’s Gaming Market” and has become an institution for gaming service providers, software suppliers, vendors and regulators in the burgeoning market. Attendees will find deep knowledge of the local gambling markets, guidance on regulatory issues, and the tools needed to execute critical business decisions in an evolving market.
Unique in bringing together global networking opportunities with a focus on Africa, BiG sees a wide variety of delegates, visitors, and decision makers from the casino, sports betting, and racing industries. BiG Africa Summit 2016 follows the highly successful 2015 edition held at Emperor’s Palace in Johanasbugh and the second annual Sports Betting West Africa summit, which was held in Accra, Ghana July 18-20, 2016.
After registration and an ice-breaker session, Big Africa will jump right in to address serious questions such as the risks and possibilities Africa faces on its road to becoming a driver in the global gaming market with focus on global governance and compliance, guidance on understanding the economic drivers of emerging markets, some of the risks that accompany rapid growth, legalizing new gaming markets and expanding current ones, and identifying new opportunities to capture revenue via legal avenues, and reducing risk.
The breakout address will be followed up by a panel discussion featuring a host of experts from Africa, Amsterdam, and the UK addressing, among other things, what governments really want from the gaming industry and an in-depth exploration of the role of the regulator, taxation, social responsibility, consumer protection, and staying on pace with changing regulatory models and disparate expectations.
Also, before noon on the first day of the three-day event, industry expert, Andrew Dagnall, CEO of BettorLogic, UK will discuss data analysis for the sports betting industry, followed by another panel discussion featuring CEO’s representing several diverse markets who will discuss and engage in the thorny questions of responsible gambling and profits.
