Party mode is about to be in full effect on the Gulf Coast as the Golden Nugget Biloxi prepares for what promises to be a night to remember.

Casinos all over the nation are busy planning year-end celebrations and this Mississippi resort destination is no different. With just a day to go before the big New Year’s Eve bash, the folks at the Tilman Fertitta-owned property are getting ready to roll out the red carpet for anyone looking to ring in 2020 in style.

by tomorrow, by the end of the day, we’ll be ready to rock and roll

News agency WLOX reports that Vice President of Marketing for Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Biloxi, Scott King, said…

“Right now we’re in the middle of our New Year’s run and, obviously within (the Grand) ballroom, we’re transforming it into the first phase of what’s going to be our big New Years’ Eve event. This is where we’re going to have our player dinners. At the conclusion of those dinners, we’re going to flip the room and it’s going to become a big party.”

Party of the year:

The shindig’s theme is Under the Sea, which is perfect considering the venue’s Gulf Coast location, and it has seen countless conference calls, meetings and advanced planning for entertainment, decorations, food and beverage for the seamless transition between each aspect of the event. And while Nugget staff prepare to submerge partygoers into the depths of the unknown, final arrangements are being coordinated to make it the party of the year.

King reportedly told the news agency…

“Our marketing team works with our production team, which comes in from New Orleans, to come up with a theme. It’s Under the Sea. We’re not there yet. The lights will change, but by tomorrow, by the end of the day, we’ll be ready to rock and roll.”

King said that while the public will not have access to the room prior to the big party, South Mississippians are sure to have a good time.

Champagne toast:

“We can let it out the bag. It’s free drinks, a free champagne toast, we’ll have Eugene Eash and his band and we’ll also have DJ Hurricane. So, it’s a full slate. If someone here on the Mississippi coast is looking or something to do on New Year’s Eve, they need to consider the Golden Nugget,” added, King.

The Tuesday, December 31 event that officially goes from 10pm to 1am on New Year’s Eve, promises to deliver the coastal feel that both locals and visitors from out of town have come to expect.

King said that there is no dress code and that…

“Typically people dress a little bit to the T’s, but it’s not a formal event. It’s very relaxed. Eugene Eash and DJ Hurricane ensure that it’s relaxed and a lively time.”

The cost of attending is $50 per adult over 21 years of age and tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster, on the Golden Nugget website, as well as the ticket office inside the casino.

Fertitta acquires:

Formerly the Isle Casino Hotel Biloxi, the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Biloxi was acquired by Texas-based restaurant and entertainment company, Landry’s Inc. for $45 million in November 2012. The company is owned entirely by President & Chief Executive Officer Tilman Fertitta, who, as of October 19, 2019, ranked No. 140 on the Forbes 400 list, with an estimated net worth at $4.9 billion.

Gaming and resort amenities:

If you’re planning on doing some gambling while you’re at the Mississippi casino, the 45,000 sq ft of gaming at the Nugget includes more than 1,159 slot and video poker machines, approximately 54 table games, a poker room with nine live action, smoke-free tables and a sports book with betting windows and 24/7 kiosks, video walls, 50-plus hi-def TVs, full-service restaurant and bar and more.

The resort’s gaming complements its 706 smoke-free guestrooms, four restaurants and seven bars/lounges, spa and salon, shops and other amenities.
