Boomtown Casino New Orleans opened up its $20 million dollar hotel expansion in late January 2015, an addition that hopes to boost its gaming revenues.  Boomtown Casino New Orleans is actually located in Harvey but is just across the canal from New Orleans.  The five story hotel has 150 new guest rooms to accommodate gamblers, there are also 9 Junior Suites and 8 Two-Bay suites, free internet service, four conference rooms and a fitness center.  The hotel completes the early vision Boomtown Casino had for its project.  According to Howard Rowland, the vice president and GM for Boomtown, “It’s about staying relevant in this business.”
