Bourbon Square Casino in the Victorian Square of Sparks, Nevada is being sold and will close soon. The former Silver Club was completely refurbished after being closed for several years and re-opened in August 2013.

Reports indicate that a new casino will not be opened in its place. The hotel portion could become multi-family residential housing and the casino space may be used for offices.

The casino is expected to close no later than February 5th.

The New Orleans themed casino stirred economic activity in Sparks, just next to Reno, which has seen gambling and other venues suffer from a changing economy. Silver Club operated from 1982 until 2009. The building was without a casino until Bourbon Square opened in 2013.
