Leading gambling technology company, Playtech plc (PTEC:London), has inked a partnership agreement with Buzz Bingo to launch their slots tournament using the London-listed firm’s leaderboard solution. The collaboration allows players the chance to compete for big prizes.

The online operator’s Diamond Players had tournaments all to themselves for two weeks but now all Buzz Bingo players are able to enjoy them. Players who join a live tournament are added to a leaderboard and with every win on the applicable slot game, they earn points, which allows them to ascend in the rankings.

“A range of Tournaments will be available every Wednesday from midday to midnight.”

Points are awarded based on the size of the win in proportion to the bet, with no wagering requirements. That means that regardless of their per-spin-stake, players have an equal chance to move forward. Extra points are not given for betting larger stakes, which enable players to continue enjoying the game while staying within their limits. All spins during a tournament, “up to a certain amount,” are eligible point earners.

Tournaments benefit:

In a company press release, Casino Director for Playtech, James Frendo, said…

“Tournaments offer a whole new way to engage players, as well as adding an extra level of enjoyment for players at no extra cost to themselves. The element of competition and the chance to win prizes adds a sense of anticipation for players, making every win more exciting. Also, because points are awarded based on the size of the win in proportion to the bet, players who prefer to stick to lower stakes are not disadvantaged, encouraging them to stay within their limits.

“Ever since Playtech began working with Buzz Bingo following the brand’s launch in 2018, they have been one of our most proactive partners in terms of adopting new tools and functionality, with some excellent results. We’re really impressed with the drive and commitment the Buzz team has shown to make Tournaments happen – particularly the addition of the in-game widget, which the dedicated portal team has invested much time in delivering, allowing players to register for and follow the leaderboard without leaving the game environment.”

Bet equalizer feature:

Providing twice the benefit, the London-headquartered casino software and services supplier’s leaderboard configuration options allows a maximum qualifying bet amount to be set by licensees, enabling them to promote safer gambling behavior while at the same time ramping up player engagement.

Also commenting on the launch, Head of Digital Operations for Buzz Bingo, David Swaine, added…

“Following a highly successful exclusive period for selected players, we’re delighted to be bringing Tournaments to a wider audience and offering a key point of differentiation. A range of Tournaments will be available every Wednesday from midday to midnight and, with a dedicated homepage portlet and the in-game widget, it’s easy for players to find the right one for them. With a chance to win a share of the prize pot, we’re confident players will find Tournaments a doubly engaging and responsible way to play.”

Spain Live Roulette launch:

Just a day earlier than the latest company news, Playtech announced the launch of a dedicated Live Roulette table for Spanish online operator Betfair.es, with the partnership in line with both company’s efforts to continue to expand their operations in Spain’s key growth markets. Hosted from the British online casino games developer’s live studio in Spain, native-speaking dealers host the game which is available 24/7.
