A soft opening took place on the 21st of December for the $2.4 billion resort which was called a preview period. An official opening for the venue is set to take place towards the end of February. Casino operations will start at first with a provisional license as part of the deal terms with Pagcor and then a permanent license will be provided at a later date.
Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. is a subsidiary of Universal Entertainment, a group that is developing Okada Manila. Universal Entertainment is led by Kazuo Okada, a Japanese gaming and pachinko entrepreneur.
Okada Manila has 993 guest rooms located in a 5 star, two wing hotel. Alongside the casino, visitors will have access to restaurants, shops and meeting space. In a press release yesterday, the venue said that the opening of the hotel and restaurants would be announced in the next few weeks.
