Back in January, the Cliff Castle Casino of Verde Valley announced they would begin work on a new hotel that would open by December of this year. The project is well underway, with construction of the facility now falling a little behind schedule. Now, according to developers of the hotel, opening will be pushed back until spring of next year.
The new hotel will consist of six stories and be the first of this size in the Verde Valley area. DreamCatcher Hotels is one of the co-developers of the project, with the Marketing and Business Development Senior Vice President of the company, Tim Hnedak, commenting on the progress of the project. According to Hnedak, the parking garage for the hotel should be completed by early 2017 with the hotel following in the spring.
James Perry, the Marketing Operations Manager for Cliff Castle Casino, the new hotel will have 122 guest rooms that will consist of double queen bedrooms, king bed rooms and suites. The hotel will offer an event center which can be used for conferences or entertainment. A coffee shop will provide refreshments and a retail outlet will provide shopping options. The parking garage will include 300 spaces.
The project is expected to bring new jobs to the casino as well as a nice number of guests each year. Employee numbers should increase around 40+ individuals while the new hotel should allow for 60,000 or more additional guests on an annual basis.
