The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana has officially revealed plans to expand its Coushatta Casino Resort by adding a new, luxurious hotel. According to the announcement, on March 20 at 10 a.m., a foundation stone laying ceremony will be held for the hotel, marking the start of the property expansion project. The construction will consist of a new 8-story hotel equipped with 204 rooms and 100 suites.

The hotel will be linked to the casino, just steps from the casino floor. In addition, this extension will raise the key count at the casino resort to more than 1,000 rooms, in addition to supplying more employment opportunities throughout the area.

Participating in the groundbreaking ceremony are Coushatta Tribal Council, Chairman Jonathan Cernek, as well as Todd Stewart, General Manager of Coushatta Casino Resort, and executives from Wenaha Group, Yates Construction and TBE Architects. The event is to be held at the Seven Clans statue, which is situated in the Sculpture Garder directly in front of the 400-room, 18-suite Seven Clans Hotel, which opened in June 2022.

Throughout the celebration, drummers and dancers from the Coushatta Tribe will give a short performance, followed by the cutting of the cake. The general public is also invited to make an appearance at the ceremony.
