The Crowne Plaza Los Angeles at Commerce Casino is now being managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The Commerce Casino boasts the world’s largest cardroom with 240 tables in action daily. Opened in 1983, the casino accounted for nearly 40 percent of the Commerce municipality’s tax revenues in previous years. The 194 room hotel is located about 6 miles from downtown Los Angeles and a few blocks from the Citadel Outlet Shopping Center.
“The Crowne Plaza Los Angeles-Commerce Casino is a great fit for our expertise,” said Michael George, CEO of Crescent Hotels & Resorts in a statement to industry press.
The hotel recently upgraded guestrooms, fitness center, pool, and patio deck and offers over 20,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor function space. In 2014, Commerce Casino opened a Playboy-themed gaming lounge. In 2001 a hotel addition was completed. The hotel houses several dining venues and hosts MMA and live boxing matches.
Crescent Hotels & Resorts adds The Crowne Plaza to its more than 100 hotels and resorts throughout 27 U.S. states and 5 Canadian provinces.
Commerce Casino is owned and operated by California Commerce Club, Inc., and receives about 10,000 visits per day. The casino hosts the Los Angeles Poker Classic, a 20 million dollar tournament.
