Singapore: David Sisk, a veteran operations exec, has just been appointed as the COO of Genting Singapore Pic’s Resorts World Sentosa. The new appointment will have Sisk responsible for all of the operating units at the casino resort and he will report to the chief executing of Genting Singapore, Tan Hee Teck.
Mr. Sisk formerly worked for the Macau unit of the popular Las Vegas Sands Corporation. This is the market rival company of Genting Singapore, so the switch in companies is an interesting one for Sisk, who is crossing the rival lines and proudly taking on his new role. The new COO reports being extremely excited about joining the new Resort’s family and is looking forward to great results. With more than 20 years experience, Sisk will surely be a great addition to the Resort’s team.
Over the years, Sisk has worked with Caesars Palace and the Wynn Las Vegas, where he held the position of chief financial officer at both locations. In 2010, he held the chief casino officer position at Sands China and was later appointed vice president and chief operating officer. He resigned in 2013 with no reason stated and is now looking forward to this amazing opportunity with Genting. This latest news is also accompanied by the news of resignment of the executive vise president of operations. Goh Chye Boon will be pursuing other employment opportunities and is vacating his position at Resorts World Sentosa.
Sisk has actually been onboard with Resorts World Sentosa since September of 2014. It is just now that he is receiving the appointment to the position of COO, where he will help to lead the company to great success and continued growth in the market.
Genting Singapore has suffered falling volume and bad debt in the VIP segment during the fourth quarter of last year. Hopefully, Sisk, with his years of experience, will be able to turn that around and put Genting back on track.
