Australian Gambling – Manly winger David Williams has been revealed as one of the seven players embroiled in betting on NRL matches.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Williams, along with a ‘prominent’ Melbourne Storm player, a ‘big-name’ Sydney player, a Gold Coast Titan and up to five other NRL players face heavy fines and suspensions as early as this week.

Manly’s glamour winger “Wolfman” Williams was reportedly caught having a number of multi-bets that featured AFL, soccer and NRL matches.

AustralianGambling is not suggesting that any match-fixing has gone on in any way.

The NRL has postponed any announcement on the scandal till after State of Origin Game 3 – a statement could be released in the next 48 hours.
