Even more online casino gaming is now available in New Jersey. Online operator, DraftKings, announced this week the launch of its standalone casino app for the Garden States. The operator used in-house technology to create a casino app that is similar to its sportsbook and daily fantasy offering. The app includes exclusive games to DraftKings as well as traditional games like roulette and blackjack.
From Integrated to Standalone:
Casino gaming has been offered by DraftKings since 2018, as the brand integrated Casino options in their Sportsbook app. After researching the options and listening to what customers wanted, DraftKings decided to create the standalone version. The brand will be launching the new casino product in other states where online casino gaming is allowed.
Vice President of Gaming for DraftKings, Jason March, commented on the new offering by stating the company is thrilled to break new ground in the gaming space with the launch of the DraftKings Casino app. This is the first perennial product that works all year irrespective of annual sports schedules. The company now looks forward to a nationwide expansion were regulations allow.
On top of slots and table games native to the brand, the new app will also include games from third-party providers like Scientific Games and Slingo. Players in New Jersey who access the casino will also find a Live Studio, where games are offered 24/7.
Just Launched in Pennsylvania:
The news of the standalone casino app comes just over a month after launching online casino gaming in Pennsylvania. The brand is partnered with the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in the state and was able to apply for online gambling due to that partnership.
It continues to move forward into new states as legislation is passed allowing for sports betting and/or online casino gaming, furthering their expansion across the US.
