Maltese online casino and sportsbook operator Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated has announced the signing of a multi-year agreement that could soon see it enter the regulated iGaming market of New Jersey.
Headquartered in the Valletta suburb of Birkirkara, the firm used an official Thursday press release to detail that the alliance with casino operator Twin River Worldwide Holdings Incorporated is due to involve its launch of a mobile-friendly online sportsbetting service for punters in ‘The Garden State’ should its new partner complete its own planned purchase of the 1,251-room Bally’s Atlantic City property.
Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated revealed that this Atlantic City venue is currently run by American casino behemoth Caesars Entertainment Corporation but is being offloaded as part of that operator’s merger with Eldorado Resorts Incorporated. It additionally explained that the successful conclusion of this land-based acquisition by Twin River Worldwide Holdings Incorporated is destined to give the Rhode Island firm immediate dominion over up to three New Jersey-licensed online sportsbetting skins.
Grant Johnson, Chief Executive Officer for Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated, used the press release to pronounce that his company is already licensed by iGaming authorities in Malta, Ireland, Curacao and the United Kingdom and has plans to obtain a similar dispensation for New Jersey via its GMBL New Jersey Incorporated subsidiary. The executive furthermore declared that his firm is currently responsible for the sportsbetting domains at Vie.gg and SportNation.bet and soon hopes to launch a service that will allow punters ‘to participate in multiplayer mobile and PC video game tournaments for cash prizes.’

For his part and George Papanier, President and Chief Executive Officer for Twin River Worldwide Holdings Incorporated, divulged that his firm is already responsible for sportsbetting services in Mississippi, Rhode Island, Delaware and Colorado subsequent to describing Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated as ‘a great addition to our growing partnerships with sportsbook leaders around the world.’
