There is some major news in the Hungarian market these days. Szerencsejáték Privately Held Company Limited, the Hungarian national lottery company, signed a deal with EveryMatrix and became its sixth global lottery client. At the same time, Hungary’s online sports betting regulation was finally launched on January 1st this year.
A significant win despite the strong competition:
EveryMatrix won at the public tender and got the opportunity to provide Szerencsejáték’s online brand TippmixPro with an end-to-end suite of incredible sports betting software solutions and services.
The competition among companies lasted for 15 months, and 25 companies bid for this multi-year agreement.
EveryMatrix will provide the Hungarian national lottery company with its famous OddsMatrix sportsbook platform and data feeds, enabling the company to achieve the highest productivity, stability, and scalability levels. There are also many software solutions and services related to player account management, such as virtual sports, various bonuses, acquisition, retention, reactivation, payments and affiliate management.
This isn’t the only success of EveryMatrix in terms of various agreements. The company has already won several World Lottery Association and European Lotteries agreements. Some of them are Norsk Tipping in Norway, OPAP in Greece, National Lottery in Malta, and Veikkaus in Finland.
Szerencsejáték Privately Held Company Limited was founded in 1991, and since then, it has become a leading operator in the Hungarian market. It is also one of the largest companies in the country. Some products included in the company’s offerings are lottery games, lottery tickets, and sports betting. It possesses over 7,700 sales points across the whole country.
National lottery and economic growth:
When it comes to economic growth, the national lottery significantly contributes to it. The return is about two-thirds of the net gaming revenue, and it helps finance various community projects and cultural, social, health, and sporting initiatives.
Stian Hornsletten, Chief Commercial Officer at EveryMatrix, said: “Since 2016, we have made significant inroads in the lottery sector and now work with some of the biggest organizations in the world, powering and servicing their digital offerings to millions of their customers.
“Winning SZRT ahead of many of our competitors yet again underlines the quality of our technology solutions, services, and expertise across multiple elements, from sportsbook and player account management to bonusing, payments, and affiliate management.
“Operations are weighted highly within large-scale agreements such as this and I’m particularly pleased that our operational quality and experience shone through. We are delighted to be working in partnership with SZRT and look forward to supporting them in their digital journey this year and beyond.”
Zoltán Horváth, Sports Betting Director at Szerencsejáték Privately Held Company Limited, said: “We are very pleased to have agreed terms with EveryMatrix following a thorough and highly competitive tender process and we’re confident we have selected an ideal partner.
“We have ambitious plans to extend and enhance our sports betting offering at a time of market regulation to create the ultimate entertainment experience for Hungarian players, and we firmly believe we will achieve this through this partnership.“
