The FanDuel brand has been quite busy this week, opening not one, but two new sportsbooks. The brand now offers sports betting in a new facility located at the Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, with the venue opening on March 15. The operator is also now live in Collinsville, Illinois, via the former Fairmount Park Racetrack, which is now known as the FanDuel Sportsbook & Horse Racing facility.
Atlantic City Opening
Let’s start in Atlantic City. The FanDuel Group and Bally’s Corporation have teamed up to offer the new venue inside the Bally’s Hotel & Casino in New Jersey. The permanent location opens just in time for March Madness, allowing sports fans to place wagers on their favorite teams.
The sportsbook is situated inside the casino near the Northern boardwalk casino entrance. Guests will find two large video walls inside the entrance along with several kiosks for self-service betting. Once inside the sportsbook, there is a 25-foot-wide LED video wall with two 10-foot-wide LED video walls on the side. Never miss out on any of the action as there are also 10 video displays inside the sportsbook as well.
The new sportsbook includes a food and beverage menu with several options including pub-style dining. A unique aspect of this space is the iPourIt self-pour beverage dispenser beer wall. Easily pour your own drink while you enjoy the next big game.
Illinois Launch
In Illinois, the FanDuel Group has completed the grand opening of its FanDuel Sportsbooks in the former Fairmount Park Racetrack. The venue is now known as the FanDuel Sportsbook & Horse Racing and features the new retail location.
The opening ceremonies included St. Louis’s very own Ozzie Smith. The Baseball Hall of Famer placed the first bet, wagering $20 on the Cardinals to win the World Series. The new sportsbook is located in the Clubhouse and has a huge 98-inch LED video wall with 24 LED video displays that are 65-inches in size.
There are live betting windows along with two self-service betting kiosks. The IGT PlaySports kiosks allow players to place wagers themselves. The platform provides betting on all major sports in the United States including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and more.
FanDuel Group Vice President of Retail, Keith Wall, commented on this new launch, stating that this installation was a special project for the company because the name is on the track itself. The brand is committed to revitalizing the location and creating capital improvements. The company will also hire individuals from the local community.
