It’s time for the new World Series of Poker (WSOP) poker tournament – and this time, it will be held at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. This is the final event in the series that lasted in 2023 and 2024.
Events for all types of players:
One of the most famous events in the industry will begin on January 3 and will last until January 14. All of the players who have the Choctaw Rewards Club card will be able to register at the city’s Grand Theater before the event they want to participate in begins.
Both professionals and amateurs will be able to participate in the tournament, and special events are prepared for all groups of players.
As Indian Gaming reports, Kaley Green, a Regional Director of Marketing at Durant, said: “We love hosting the World Series of Poker at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant. It’s a great opportunity for recreational poker players to test their skills against professionals and have a chance to walk away winners.”
Record-breaking season:
This isn’t the first time in the season the WSOP has been held in Durant – in this circuit, the event has been held in this casino two times already, and this is the third one which is placed in this popular Oklahoma facility.
Both times the wins were huge: in July, Harvey Castro, a 21-year-old student and soccer player at Southern Methodist University won more than $275.000, and in November the player Brad Ruben earned more than $250.000.
The third tournament also has a huge win potential. The poker players will be able to compete in 18 events, such as No Limit Hold ‘Em, which has a prize pool of $50.000 which can be earned with a buy of $300, and No Limit Hold ‘Em with a buy of $500 and prize pool of $200.000.
But save the money for the main event! With a buy of $1.700, the players can win up to $1 million, which is a prize pool for the main event of this popular tournament.
During the 2023 WSOP circuit, three records were broken: at the 54th Annual WSOP, WSOP Paradise, and the WSOP Circuit.
The winners of this tournament, as well as of the other ones, will be able to participate in the “invitation only” VIP event Tournament of Champions with a freeroll of $1 million. The event will be held in Las Vegas, during the WSOP, and the invitations will be issued to both offline and online winners.
