The WSOP Main Event is now a little bit closer to naming a champion. GGPoker has reached its final table in the $10,000 Championship Main Event, with the remaining players set to duke it out on December 15. The table is filled with players from around the world, with each of the nine individuals from another country.

Heading to King’s Casino

The $10,000 event saw 674 entries, which created a total prize pool of $6,470,000. Each player will earn at least a five-figure payday for making it this far in the online poker competition. The final table contestants must now travel to Rozvadov, in the Czech Republic, to play the event live at King’s Casino.

It will be interesting to see if this can be pulled off due to the location of each player. Travel is restricted or difficult at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once this final table has a winner, that person will head to the US to play against the WSOP.com winner to see who the 2020 champion will be.

The chip leader going into the final table is Brunno Botteon from Brazil. He has just over 10.3 million in his stack. Pretty far behind in second place is Manuel Ruivo, with 6.2 million. Damian Salas comes in at third with 5.6 million in chips.

The remaining players are as follows:

Fourth position:               fullbabyfull                        4.2 million chips

Fifth position:                   Hannes Speiser                3.5 million chips

By December 30th, we will see the heads-up championship take place between the winner of the US leg and the international event.
