German gaming machines giant, Gauselmann Group, has strengthened its presence in the British market following the completion of a deal that has seen its Blueprint Gaming Limited subsidiary buy Project Coin Machines Limited for an undisclosed amount.

Coming adaption:

According to an official Thursday press release published by European Gaming Media and Events, the Espelkamp-headquartered behemoth declared that the purchase will enable its Blueprint Gaming mobile and online casino games development arm ‘to strengthen and diversify its already robust games portfolio’ by adapting several retail slots from Project Coin Machines Limited for use in the iGaming space.

Experienced acquisition:

Gauselmann stated that Thornton Heath-based Project Coin Machines Limited is ‘a pioneer within the gambling industry’ that has over 30 years of experience alongside a portfolio that currently features in excess of 50 United Kingdom-facing retail slots. It moreover proclaimed that its latest acquisition is responsible for such iconic titles as Find the Lady Poker and Mega Bars and that these are to be integrated into the land-based machines offering from Blueprint.

No leadership change:

Sascha Blodau, United Kingdom General Manager for Gauselmann, detailed that Project Coin Machines Limited’s current management team is to remain in charge and has been tasked with establishing ‘a close and collaborative relationship’ with Blueprint Gaming Limited in order to bring ‘further game innovation to the online and retail sectors.’

Blodau’s statement read…

“Project [Coin Machines Limited] has a strong reputation within the United Kingdom retail space and we’re thrilled to welcome it to the Blueprint Gaming Limited family. The enlarged group will continue to be led by Blueprint Gaming Limited’s Managing Director, Matt Cole, and we look forward to working closely with the whole Project [Coin Machines Limited] team.”

Advantageous possibilities:

For his part, Tony Boulton, Managing Director for Project Coin Machines, proclaimed that he is ‘excited about the next phase’ in his firm’s development as the deal with Gauselmann Group is to enable the developer to take advantage of its new parent’s ‘scale, support and added distribution.’

Boulton’s statement read…

“This opportunity will enable us to grow and to introduce our proven games to an online audience. Our after-sales support will remain in place to service the large number of games we currently have in the market and we thank all our customers who have supported us over many years.”
