Data and technologies provider, Genius Tech Group, has announced the signing of a deal that has seen it launch a new Squares-based puzzle game via multiple platforms operated by American daily fantasy sports and online sportsbetting firm, DraftKings Incorporated.
Super Bowl significance:
The Australian innovator used an official Tuesday press release to detail that its latest free-to-play title comes complete with an over $50,000 prize pool and has been designed to take advantage of the considerable interest in Super Bowl LIII, which is to be held on Sunday evening inside the 71,000-seat Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Grid indulgence:
Melbourne-headquartered Genius Tech explained that its newest advance, which was developed by its Genius Games division, does not require participants to have any specific knowledge concerning sportsbetting or American football as it only invites players to select a square from a randomly-numbered grid. It stated that these numerals subsequently ‘relate to the last digit of the score for each team at the end of each quarter’ with contestants possibly taking home a prize ‘if the numbers of a cell match the final digit of a team’s score at the end of a quarter.’
Young partnerships:
Nathan Rothschild, Head of Strategy for Genius Tech Group, declared that his firm has been working with DraftKings Incorporated since August when the Boston-based operator began utilizing its iSport Genius sportsbetting data platform.
Rothchild’s statement read…
“We are very pleased to have secured another deal with DraftKings [Incorporated]. We have already built a successful relationship through our iSport Genius product and this is a further investment in our partnership. DraftKings [Incorporated] is a truly innovative group and it understands the potential of our free-to-play games to deliver mass acquisition.”
