Maltese business-to-business iGaming solutions developer, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) Incorporated, has announced the signing of an agreement that is due to see it assist land-based casino operator, SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited, in launching an online gambling service.
Platform provision:
Headquartered in the Valetta suburb of St Julian’s, the innovator used an official press release to declare that the multi-year deal was inked with the New Zealand casino firm’s, SkyCity Malta Limited subsidiary, and will encompass the provision of an iGaming platform alongside a range of marketing, content, customer retention management and compliance services.
GiG Incorporated revealed that the new alliance is to additionally see it supply a Malta license for the coming New Zealand-facing online casino and handle all operational duties on behalf of its latest partner beginning from the third quarter of the year.
Entering new markets:
Robin Reed, Chief Executive Officer for GiG, used the press release to proclaim that the ‘landmark deal’ with SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited will enable his firm to enter ‘a completely new continent’ where he hopes to ‘build on our ambition as the global partner for strong brands in iGaming.’

Expected relaxation:
For its part, Auckland-based SkyCity is responsible for four land-based casinos in New Zealand alongside two in Australia and first revealed its intention to launch an iGaming service aimed at international customers in March despite the fact that such operations are currently illegal in its home nation.
However, Graeme Stephens, Chief Executive Officer for the Sydney and Wellington-listed casino firm, stated that he expects NZ to launch a regulated online gambling market ‘in the foreseeable future’ and the agreement with GiG will help his firm to become ‘the leader in gaming, entertainment and hospitality in its communities.’
