A unique partnership was recently announced in Arizona, as Phoenix Suns starter Jae Crowder is now teamed up with Gila River Resorts & Casinos. Crowder was recently named the casino operator’s brand ambassador and will serve as a promoter of the brand’s many casinos in the state, starting with a summer pool party at the Wild Horse Pass venue in Chandler.

Details of the Partnership

Gila River is the owner and operator of three different casinos in Arizona: Lone Butte, Wild Horse Pass, and Vee Quiva. The operator has plans to create a fourth venue as well. The Santan Mountain casino will open later this year. With the new partnership involving Crowder, the operator plans to use the status of the athlete to bring in new customers to their venues.

The partnership kicks off soon with the Summer Oasis Pool Party at Wild Horse Pass. The event is part of a concert series that offers exclusive entertainment in the area. Celebrity DJs will offer up tunes during the party, with the events taking place on the last Saturday of the money starting in May and ending in September.

Jae Crowder commented on the new partnership by stating:

“I have a vision of growing with Gila River as we have a lot of things in common. Being an athlete at the highest level with one of the best teams in the NBA, it is important to grow my local relationships with people whom I am comfortable with and believe in.”

A First for Gila River

The deal is the first of its kind for Gila River Resorts & Casinos. The company has never signed a professional athlete as a partner via an endorsement deal. Gila River was attracted to Crowder’s fearless competitive nature and feels that he fits in well with the venue’s “You Do You” mantra.

Gila River Resorts & Casinos chief marketing officer and president Dominic Orozco commented on the new deal, calling Crowder a bossman and stating the casino operator is honored to be working with him as their first-ever brand icon.

Orozco pointed out further that Gila River is celebrating its new resort’s designation as Arizona’s Official Sports Headquarters with the signing of Crowder and see his drive, vision, and talent as a way to help the Gila River venues succeed. Crowder is not only a star athlete but he also gives back to the community and works on entrepreneurship via hits clothing brand Bossmann.
