The Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley will open its doors to the public at 1:00 p.m. today. After opening, the casino will operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Players will find 50,000 square feet of well arranged casino space with wide aisles and wide comfortable chairs in front of 1,089 slot machines including the most popular on the market.

The casino offers Class II gaming devices that look and act just like Las Vegas slot machines. The only differences are internal; RNG generated Vegas slots are played against the casino, whereas Class II games are bingo-based and players compete against each other for prizes without ever knowing the difference.  Progressive slots with jackpots starting at $1 million are linked with other progressive machines at various tribal casinos. Bets range from $0.01 to $5. All gaming is ticket in/ticket out and there are plenty of ticket kiosks spread throughout the casino for easy cash-ins.

Smokers will enjoy the freedom of lighting up right at their favorite game and others will appreciate the high velocity air filtration system in place at the West Valley casino.

Free self-serve drinks are available in the 2-venue food court offering burgers, sandwiches, pizza, salads, and other fare. There are plenty of wide-screen TVs located throughout the casino, with the greatest concentration at the sports bar. No alcoholic beverages will be available today but a liquor license is in the works and could be in place by February.

Construction and expansion of the casino is expected over several years to eventually include a 1,000 seat bingo hall, 50 table games, and a 25 table poker room, pending regulatory approvals. With the potential of increased gaming revenues, a completely integrated casino resort with a 600 room spa hotel, massive atrium, event and convention center, multiple restaurants and bars, and other amenities spread over more than a million square feet will be offered over the coming years. The current interim facility may be re-purposed for other uses as the resort expands. Eventually the casino gaming space will be tripled to 150,000 sq ft. Later phases of construction will include entertainment stages, gift shops and more.

Avid players may wish to know that the Diamond Rewards card at Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley is unique
to the facility and does not share points with other Desert Diamond casinos in the state.

In addition to Grand Opening festivities tonight, keep an eye out for announcements on special activities planned for New Years Eve and other occasions.
