The Golden Moon Casino is Mississippi re-opened to a packed crowd. Located at the Pearl River Resort, the casino was dealt with a major influx of players following the cutting of the ribbon. Most dashed to the 1,000 new slot machine games which have been added to the reopened casino.

Shortly afterwards, that same crowd piled into Silver Star Casino, playing in both casinos over the weekend. Following the $70 million refit at the Golden Moon Casino, a new gaming area, poker room, bar and new hotels rooms have been added.

The Golden Moon has actually been shut down for six years.  It opened in 2002, but in 2009 was closed down. Despite the re-launch speeches, nobody mentioned anything about why the casino had closed down in the first place. The Golden Moon Casino now has 25 table games, a 14-table poker room as well as a video slot wall other added features. Golden Moon’s hotel rooms have also been upgraded, with large flat screen televisions, new furniture and additional delightful features all in theme with their inspiration drawing from the Choctaw.  The new hotel will also text gamblers when they can check in, and kiosks are located throughout the casino for players’ to withdraw their money from.

Anybody fancying a trip down to Mississippi, now has a new (and old favorite) place to play.
