In the American state of Virginia and prominent casino operator Hard Rock International has reportedly announced that it is to begin constructing its envisioned $400 million Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol facility from next month.
According to a Friday report from the Bristol Herald Courier newspaper, Allie Evangelista is to serves as the President for the coming enterprise and she disclosed that building work is to commence over the course of the coming weeks once schedules are finalized in hopes of having the finished property with its 90,000 sq ft gaming floor open by the summer of 2024.
An enterprise of the federally-recognized Seminole Tribe of Florida, Hard Rock International is reportedly already responsible for twelve gambling-friendly venues spread across the United States including the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas facilities. The firm was purportedly given the right to bring a Las Vegas-style casino resort to Virginia in November of 2020 following the successful passage of a local referendum and subsequently went on to open its interim Bristol Casino: Future Home of Hard Rock venue.
Once complete and Hard Rock International reportedly earlier disclosed the its Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol development is to additionally feature a hotel with up to 1,000 rooms, a 25,000 sq ft sportsbook and as many as 50 retail and food outlets. The operator purportedly noted that the finished facility on the site of a former shopping mall will also come complete with a convention center and could employ as many as 5,200 people by the end of the next decade while adding approximately $1 billion to the local economy.

“We are very excited and will have a ground-breaking ceremony in the next few weeks. Our construction company has been on standby so they are ready to start. Pretty much everything we communicated we were going to bring to Bristol and some more have been approved so we are ready to roll.”
Evangelista reportedly moreover divulged that the temporary Bristol Casino: Future Home of Hard Rock property, which opened on the same site from July 8, has so far racked up visits from some 109,000 punters with over half of these having travelled from less than 50 miles away. The experienced executive purportedly earlier explained that the interim venue chalked up approximately $40.3 million in adjusted gross revenues through September and paid $7.2 million in state taxes encompassing $2.4 million that was split among several southwest Virginia localities.
