According to ABC, a report released on Wednesday from the Homeland Security Inspector General states Nevada Senator Harry Reid gave SLS Las Vegas special treatment. Other news outlets also site “favoritism” issues between SLS Las Vegas and Senator Harry Reid.

The report seems to  allege that the casino needed help with immigration visa applications. These visa applications are for foreign investors who were willing to help build the casino. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Harry Reid influenced the immigration director to get the visas pushed through. There are other companies and people named in the report from Homeland Security including the immigration director Alejandro Mayorkas.

On February 3rd ABC reported that some of the visas may have gone to undesirables.
