From April 15 to May 2, the Champion Poker Club in Houston, Texas will feature the Lonestar Poker Spring Series. The new poker club is going all-in with $1.5 million in total prize money and many top pros are scheduled to compete. The series will feature the first ever $1 million guaranteed poker event in the state and offer plenty of additional options including the kickoff event, turbos, and more.

Details of the Series

The poker club will start things off with the 2021 Spring Series Kick Off. This event offers $150,000 in prize money and features a $400 buy-in. That same day there are satellites including a Turbo Mega which provides players with the ability to win a seat in the Main Event.

Smaller prize pool events take place through the end of the week and weekend in Texas to lead up to the Main Event. Take part in the Deep Stack Almost Freeze-Out with a $400 and a $15,000 prize pool. There is also a Senior’s event and Manic Monday Double Stack Turbo on April 19 with a $400 buy-in and $10,000 prize pools.

If you enjoy the game of Omaha, compete on April 20 in the Limit Omaha 8 Championship. This event has a $10,000 prize pool as well. Another Omaha event awaits in the Spring Series PLO Championship, featuring $30,000 in prize money and a $600 buy-in.

Main Event Details

The Main Event starts on April 26 and has a buy-in of $1,300. There will be several Day 1 flights, going through May 1. Day 2 is scheduled for May 2 and the final day will take place on May 3. With $1 million in prize money up for grabs, it is expected that many top pros will compete in the poker event.

Greg Raymer and Chris Moneymaker both announced on Twitter they were attending the series. both are WSOP winners and will be a nice addition to the live series. After Moneymaker said he was coming out of live retirement to play, Raymer jokingly said there would be a problem because he is coming to play too, and the town is not big enough for the both of them!

Satellite Action

There are also plenty of satellite options to earn a seat to the Main Event. When the series starts, the poker club will offer up a few satellites, but the real action starts on April 26. On this day, players will find Turbo Mega Mondays and Deep Stack Mega Monday options.

The Turbo events have a buy-in of $240 while the Deep Stack has a buy-in of $300. Players competing in the Turbos will find one in 6.5 will win a seat to the Main Event. In the Deep Stack, there is one seat offered for every five players.
