In December 2017, Mark Brown resigned from his position at Imperial Pacific International (IPI) (HKEx 1076)  leaving the board in need of a new CEO and chairman. Effective August 1st, 2017, Henry Cheang was appointed CEO of IPI, while Teng Sio I was named chairman effective January 10th 2018.

According to the Saipan Tribune, a statement was released by IPI regarding the new appointments, revealing that Cheang would be in charge of managing and overseeing all gaming-related operations, while Teng would be charged with supervising and overseeing all Saipan operations including those of its hotel.

Cheang has worked in the casino industry for twelve years, being connected with the opening of several gaming properties in Macau including the MGM Macau, Crown Macau and Galaxy Macau. In previous positions, Cheang worked in several areas, including financial & budgeting, auditing, floor design, training and operational management of staff and more.

Teng has also worked in the industry for more than 12 years. His expertise is in human resource management within the gaming industry with extensive knowledge and experience within the casino resort sector. Teng has held several positions within the Macau gaming industry including being in charge of projects for mass recruitment pre-opening of venues.
