Prominent gaming and lottery solutions innovator Intralot SA has announced that it has stepped up its commitment to sportsbetting safety and security by becoming an associate member of the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS).
The Athens-listed firm used an official Monday press release to reveal that the move has seen it become officially linked to the ‘visual identity’ of the GLMS and allow it to take advantage of alert summaries the group’s mutualized monitoring system produces regarding suspicious betting activities.
Intralot explained that it will now additionally be able to utilize prevention and educational tools produced by the GLMS and receive ‘sponsorship and communication opportunities’ at events organized by the Lausanne-headquartered group.
‘Significant initiative’ for lotteries:
Nikos Nikolakopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer for Intralot, described the GLMS as ‘a significant initiative of the global lottery movement’ before declaring that he was ‘thrilled’ to now be able to work with its 31 individual members spread across four continents in order to help protect the integrity of sportsbetting.
