January saw overall gross gaming revenues dip at Pennsylvania casinos. The silver lining on the cloud is that table gaming revenues were up year on year when comparing January 2017 with January 2016. Amalgamated GGR across the state’s twelve casinos from tables alone was 2.1 percent higher this January, according to a report today from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The report shows that this January’s gross table games revenue was $72,609,879 compared to $71,093,205 in revenue produced by the 12 casinos during January last year.
Across the 1,225 tables in operation statewide on a daily basis, total tax revenue was $11,692,065 or about $9,544.54 per table generated for the state prior to any adjustments by the PA Department of Revenue.
Sands Bethlehem led the pack for table game win with $18,254,562, down over 13 percent from the $21,010,402 they took in last year. Parx Casino beat the field in total gaming revenue (about 500 more slots on the floor) with $46,532,228 – up 6.7 percent on the year. The much smaller Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin remained mostly static with table win of $374,079 this January compared to $374,792 January 2016 and a 5.72 percent gain in total gaming revenues y-o-y for the month.
