On Malta, for the second year in a row, Kindred Group (KINDSDB:Stockholm), in conjunction with the Foundation for Social Welfare, will host the Responsible Gaming Conference. The one-day event will feature a discussion among various experts in their respective fields regarding responsible gaming.
The InterContinental Arena Conference Centre on Malta will play host to the event on September 20.
The Conference’s panel of experts will include leading researchers, academics, psychologists, regulators, gaming operators, treatment agencies and authorities who will join together to discuss responsible gaming.
Commenting on this year’s Conference, Chief Executive Officer for Kindred Group, Henrik Tjärnström, said, “We are delighted to continue this collaboration with FSWS that started last year, which facilitates an open and important discussion on responsible gaming between the industry, academia and other key stakeholders. Responsible gaming is an area we consider a key building block in our sustainable business strategy and therefore a topic we will continue to drive”, according to Kindred’s news release.
Addressing the Conference will be Malta’s Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Affairs, Digital Economy and Innovation within the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Silvio Schembri, along with Dr Michael Falzon, the Minister for Social Policy. Other scheduled speakers include Kingred Group CEO, Tjärnström; Chief Executive Officer for the Foundation for Social Welfare, Alfred Grixti; the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
Also featured at the Conference are key-note speakers including leading academics such as Justyn Larcombe, Dr Jonathan Parke, Professor Mark Griffiths (Nottingham Trent University) and John Hartson.
