Konami Group reported a strong first-half improvement in its Gaming & Systems division for the six months ended September 30, 2026.
Revenue increased 41.3% year-on-year to JPY25.11 billion, or about US$159 million, while business profit rose 154.5% to approximately JPY2.41 billion from JPY949 million.
The segment’s operating profit margin improved to around 10% from about 5% a year earlier.
Konami’s Gaming & Systems business supplies casino slot machines and casino management technology through operations including Konami Gaming Inc. in the United States and Konami Australia Pty Ltd.
The company said North America and Australia remained stable markets, supported by new casino openings and replacement demand at existing properties.
Solstice Sales Lift Gaming Revenue
Konami attributed higher machine sales partly to the performance of its Solstice 49C cabinet, which features a curved 49-inch ultra-high-definition display.
The company said its BOMBERMAN slot series continued to perform strongly in North America. Dragon Rush and Bull Rush Stampede also remained well received in Australia.
Konami is preparing two more additions to the Solstice range following their presentation at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.
The Solstice 27, which uses two 27-inch displays, is expected to launch with Bull Blitz Rampage during the fourth quarter of 2026.
Solstice SuperNova features a 75-inch C-curve display and is due to debut with Dragon’s Law Super Fortune during the same period.
Konami said increasing competition continues to influence its product development plans.
“Competitors are continuously introducing new products, creating an environment that requires stronger product appeal. Under such circumstances, Konami Group is advancing the development of new slot machines, new gaming content and new features for its casino management system.
“For SYNKROS, installation on cruise ships continues to expand and the system has been selected by multiple casino facilities. Going forward, we aim to expand our market share through the continued development of various functions utilizing cutting-edge technologies.”
SYNKROS Installed on More Than 150,000 Machines
Konami also reported wider adoption of its SYNKROS casino management system.
More than 150,000 slot machines are now connected to the platform across casino properties and cruise ships.
Carnival Corporation has expanded deployment of the system across its cruise fleet, while additional casino properties have selected SYNKROS for their operations.
Konami said further cruise ship installations are continuing as it adds new functions to the platform.
The company maintained its Gaming & Systems forecast for the financial year ending March 31, 2027, with expected revenue of JPY46 billion and business profit of JPY6.5 billion.
Konami Raises Group Forecast
Konami also reported stronger results across the wider group.
Consolidated revenue increased 37.0% year-on-year to approximately JPY307.98 billion, while profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 70.5% to about JPY79.24 billion.
Growth was recorded across other businesses, including Digital Entertainment, Arcade Games and Sports.
