Isle of Man-based software development company, Microgaming, and independent global game studio, Triple Edge Studios, have launched the latest slot game featuring the world-famous intrepid adventurer, in Lara Croft® Temples and Tombs™.

The anxiously-awaited title is now available exclusively to Microgaming operators.

In January, the leading software provider to the online gambling industry celebrated its 15-year relationship with Japanese video game developer, Square Enix, by renewing its agreement to produce a third branded online slot game for the Lara Croft® brand.

Triple Edge Studios developed the brand-new online slot exclusively for Microgaming, and in this adventure, the tough-as-nails English archaeologist embarks on yet another quest for ancient Egyptian treasure.

In the new five-reel, 243 ways title, the iconic heroine seeks out a fortune in a legendary temple that remains hidden beyond the game’s 5×3 grid of Rolling Reels™. It is there that a winning combination of matching symbols explode and make way for fresh symbols to land. Back-to-back wins are rewarded with a steadily growing multiplier trail, which in the base game, builds to a maximum 5x multiplier.

The well-chronicled Egyptian escapade is complemented with visually appealing artwork, with Lara sharing the reels with the fearsome ancient deities Sobek and Set.

Players who happen upon the golden scarab, which serves as the game’s wild symbol, have a chance to uncover a path to impressive rewards and collect the mystical gem found above the reels set in the golden scarab jackpot. As the nail-biting adventure progresses, adventures mirroring those found in the fearless Lara’s journal will reveal the ancient tomb containing extra spins, where wins begin on a 3x multiplier, a trail of which can increase to a 15x multiplier.

The bonus round is activated by a trio of journal symbols, which award eight extra spins. The golden scarab wild substitutes for all symbols and can be called upon to award as many as 32 extra spins.
