SJM Holdings Ltd has been working on a new project in Cotai, the Lisboa Palace. The Macau casino operator’s chief executive, Ambrose So Shu Fai, has now reported that the project will be branded a new title, the Grand Lisboa Palace. Speaking with Radio Macau, Mr. So stated that the new venue is being built on SJM’s branding, with the Lisboa being a strong brand. This is why the project will now be called the Grand Lisboa Palace.
The CEO reiterated that SJM has maintained a strong position, able to finish the year with a solid balance sheet. The company has been able to achieve great progress on the construction of the Lisboa Palace of Macau, now renamed the Grand Lisboa Palace.
The project has moved forward with as many as 20 floors completed, according to GGRAsia. In his speech, Mr. So stated that the project is on track to be completed in 2017 and a topping off of the building should be the step taken in the next few months. The project should be completed at the same time as the Zhuhai-Macau of Hong Kong.
